Applications are invited for the role of Founding Executive Head of Wycombe Abbey School (Singapore), opening in September 2026.
Wycombe Abbey UK is one of Britain’s most distinguished independent schools, and its international network includes thriving campuses in Hangzhou, Changzhou, Nanjing, and Hong Kong. Singapore will be the Group’s fifth school in Asia and its first in Southeast Asia.
The school is exploring the possibility of launching a boutique Early Years and Key Stage 1 campus for 200 children (ages 3–7), before expanding to a purpose-built flagship campus in Hougang in 2028. It will offer the English National Curriculum through IGCSE and A Level pathways, with a bilingual, values-driven education rooted in the Wycombe Abbey ethos of Excellence, Integrity, Compassion and Courage.
Reporting to the Group Director of Education, the Founding Executive Head will lead the creation and development of the school. This includes shaping its vision, designing the academic and pastoral programme, recruiting the founding team, and overseeing the transition to the permanent campus.
The successful candidate will be a visionary and resilient leader with substantial senior experience in British or British-style international schools. They will bring strategic clarity, warmth, and entrepreneurial energy to a start-up environment, and will be confident working across different cultures and stakeholder groups. An alignment with the values and ethos of Wycombe Abbey Schools will be critical.
