We are seeking a passionate and inspiring educator, keen to work with colleagues and
students in a highly collaborative, future-focused learning environment to join our High
School English department. Possessing the skills to support and collaborate with colleagues
is critical. Experience teaching a variety of English topics, especially at the advanced level is
important, as well as the ability to develop and refine curriculum. Our goals are to prepare
students with future ready skills that develop collaboration and have strong real-world
connections. The initial contract is for a period of two years, beginning 1 August, 2026.
Our English curriculum offers a range of courses designed to meet all learners’ needs. As well
as honing students’ literary analysis, AIS English courses also develop vital skills in critical
reading, effective writing, active listening and confident speaking. The program is aligned
with the Common Core Standards and the College Board’s AP syllabi. Our English
department currently offers a wide range of non-AP courses as well as AP English Language
& Composition, AP Literature & Composition and the AP Capstone program (AP Seminar
and AP Research).
To support holistic growth for every student, all our faculty facilitate a Homeroom Advisory
class, offer extracurricular opportunities, and participate in our annual overseas Outdoor
Education & Leadership Program.
