We are looking for inspired educators who can bring something special to our program.
This position includes teaching Middle School Humanities, as well as being part of a team
to facilitate transdisciplinary project work. This role also involves literacy support using
RTI and likely includes having a Homeroom/Advisory group. The initial contract would be
full-time, and for a period of two years (beginning 1 August 2026).
Our curriculum is inquiry-based. Our Humanities program is aligned with the Common
Core State Standards for English and Social Studies. As a Humanities program, we
embrace the workshop models for writing and reading. There is a schoolwide commitment
to standards-based grading and assessment for learning.
Additionally, our teachers contribute to the wider development of students, including
involvement with extracurricular and/or athletic offerings. All teachers are required to
participate as chaperones for our annual Outdoor Education and Leadership Program.
