Hong Kong Academy (HKA) is searching for an energetic and highly skilled MYP/DP Performing Arts Teacher to join our Secondary School stage crew. We need an educator who can not only teach technique but also cultivate confidence, critical thinking, and a true sense of community.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Creative Conductor: You will deliver the IB MYP and DP Performing Arts curriculum, focusing on building programs that encourage problem-solving and critical thinking. You’ll design learning experiences that use digital tools and resources to boost student learning.
Culture of Belonging Builder: You are a steward of the HKA Culture of Belonging. You’ll foster active, collaborative classroom environments built on trust and community.
Inclusivity Director: You have the ability to differentiate instruction to customize and personalize learning activities, addressing students’ diverse learning styles.
Behind-the-Scenes Team Player: You’ll actively collaborate and liaise with your department and other colleagues on planning, assessment, and promoting integrative links across subjects. Constructively contribute to staff and department meetings.
The Co-Curricular Champion: A significant part of your role involves supporting student life by leading at least two co-curricular after school activities per year , supervising student breaks , and assisting with school events.
Communication Star: Communicate information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and colleagues using a variety of digital media. You’ll maintain up-to-date records and establish strong links with the parent community.
Who You Are (Your Audition Requirements!)
The Educator: You have current teaching experience appropriate to the age level and subject specializations. A minimum of an undergraduate degree is required, and a Master’s Degree is preferred.
The IB Expert: You have previous IB teaching experience and a strong knowledge in your area of specialization at the required levels of study. Experience or understanding of the IB DP program is a plus.
The Mindset: You approach teaching with a positive, hardworking, and student-centred approach. You have a strong belief in IB philosophy.
Ready to Jump In: You are willing to supervise co-curricular roles and contribute beyond the school day. You maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
